De cara a la participació de l'Alcalde en el dinar de Tribuna de Barcelona es fan avinents els
aspectes següents:
- L'Alcalde té previst incorporar-se a l'aperitiu cap a les l4 h.
- Uns 30 minuts després d'iniciat el dinar, l'Alcalde fa la presentació de Pedro Solbes, Ministre
d'Economia i Hisenda. La duració aproximada de la presentació ha de ser de 5 minuts.
- Se suggereix a l'Alcalde de fer esment del caràcter enèrgic i la constància del Ministre en
defensar les posicions que considera millors en un context polític dificil, així com la seva
proximitat i entesa amb Narcís Serra, amb qui va col laborar estretament en el si del Govern.
- S'adjunta proposta per a la intervenció de l'Alcalde.
- La conferència de Solbes porta el títol de "La situación de la economía: balance y
perspectiva".
- Després de la inte rv enció de Solbes s'obre un breu col.loqui.
- El president de Tribuna de Barcelona, Juan José López-Burniol, clou l'acte poc abans de les
16 h.

EN EL ÚLTIMO EJERCICIO CERRADO, HASTA AHORA,
CON PEDRO SOLBES AL FRENTE DE LA CARTERA, LA
�ECONOMÍA ESPAÑOLA HA CRECIDO A MUY BUEN
RITMO, Y LO HA HECHO CON LOS INCREMENTOS DE
PRECIOS MÁS BAJOS DE LOS ÚLTIMOS 27 AÑOS, POR
DEBAJO DEL 4% ANUAL MEDIDO EN EL MES DE
ENERO.
PERO AÚN HAY UN DATO MÁS SIGNIFICATIVO E
IMPORTANTE. EL OBJETIVO PRIORITARIO DEL NUEVO
MINISTRO DE ECONOMÍA EN JULIO DE 1993 ERA LA
CREACIÓN DE EMPLEO. PUES BIEN, NUESTRA
ECONOMÍA CREA EMPLEO, TANTO PARA LOS QUE
ACCEDEN POR PRIMERA VEZ AL MERCADO DE
TRABAJO COMO PARA LOS DESEMPLEADOS QUE EN
NÚMERO DE 180.000 HAN DEJADO DE SERLO A LO
LARGO DE 1995.
POR LO DEMÁS, Y AUNQUE MUCHO SE EMPEÑEN EN
DECIR LO CONTRARIO, EL PESO RELATIVO DE LOS
CONTRATOS FIJOS HA CRECIDO TAMBIÉN DE
MANERA CONSIDERABLE.
AHORA QUE ESTAMOS EN TIEMPO DE GRANDES
OFERTAS Y PROMESAS MUCHAS DE ELLAS
IRREALIZABLES, PEDRO SOLBES SIGUE
DEFENDIENDO ESA ENERGÍA Y ESE RIGOR A LOS
QUE HACÍA REFERENCIA LA PRIORIDAD DE LA LUCHA
