La cita Ólímpica ens ha permès refer el teixit urbà, projectar la nostra manera de ser greu del món i posar-nos al dia en aspectes vitals de la nostra ciutat. Aquest estiu, la gent és la gran protagonista. Hem rebut els visitants amb aires de festa, t t obrint els nostres carrers i els nostres cors al món sencer. Per a una ciutat olímpica, l'organització d'uns Jocs Paralímpics és més que un compromís moral: és una satisfacció i una necessitat. Sense els Paralímpics, no podem par l ar de suprimir barreres aquests ni d'obrir Jocs, no la ciutat. Sense podem pensar que festa ha estat rodona. la �Sense els rècords que es khatran a partir d'avui, no ens és posible anunciar l'èxit esportiu de Barcelona '92. La Vila Para-olímpica de Barcelona vol plantar en els cors dels 4.000 atletes que hi hauran viscut la certesa que la ciutat universal, la ciuta t adaptada, no es pot fer per avui o per demà mateix, però és possible.
